The only information I have directly from Mattel about the future of UB Funkeys is that they are no longer going to make new ones, but they will provide technical support to the current players for at least 2 more years. The last I heard, and it has been a couple of months, they were working on making the game compatible with Windows 7. But after that, they'd stop with the updates. Maybe someone has better, or more current information to add to that?

sorry to be a pessimist but what is the chance that matel will actual stop the collapse of funkeys by a petition. We don't have dot and we don't have tajeo.

i signed but i also noticed that the goal is 1,000 people. a company to actually continue a toy line after discontinuing would have to at least be 1,000,000 so they could make a profit.
Its really a lost cause. If mattel is out of money/confidence, how can a petition help? Funkeys were fun in the first three worlds, but its just downhill.
Mattel cant help it.
The best they might be able to do is keep funkeys running online.

I'm sad about this, Mattel had an old game I used to play (Oh I forgot the name) but they discontinued it. After 2 years of no more releases they shut down the servers and started up U.B. I'm hoping they continue the game. I did sign and I'm really crossing my fingers. Thank you for keeping this site running :)

What I mean is they might sue if a person did that. It would cost money for the servers and if we charged.... CASE! Donations make it profitable Case! Either way it is WW3 for real life and WW2 for funkeys.

I called Mattel a week ago and was told that they never anticipated the popularity of the game. They also stated that it is the most popular game by Mattel to date. They informed me that the game has not been discontinued, but because of its popularity, they were trying to reevaluate.
Are you sure you spoke to Mattel, Michelle? lol. If so, which department did you talk to? The regular support/service number representive just said they are definitely discontinued. I had questions about their continued support of the software anyway, so I just called them. They are definitely discontinued, although still supporting it. They just won't develop a patch for Windows 7.
I wish they would reconsider it, because I truely believe if they had better marketing, the product would be a bigger success.

Please please save them, we all love them and we dont no why they stop making them but we want them back, please it will make us all happy again, we all miss them
