UB Funkeys DREAM STATE and more

If you're like me, you have one of each Funkey that is available to date, you've played all the games, know the layout of the zones without looking at the map anymore. And now you are ready for the next wave of Funkeys!

This is what we can look forward to ~ Dream State, Chat Funkeys, and 2 more Speed Racer Funkeys (Speed Racer single & Taejo).

WHEN? I'm sure you're asking that! This summer is the answer. The most specific I've heard yet is August, as Rochycha reports on Squidoo (see previous post).

[update on 6/10/08: The next UB Funkey update is ready to download, you can read about it and see the new images like this one on my next post, Dream State & Chat Funkey 3.0 update ]

DREAM STATE

My favorite place to find Funkey information on Dream State is Augiewan's blog, http://ubfunkeys.thespeakeasy.com/. Click here to see a larger image with the character names from Augiewan's blog.

There will be 2 zones, Daydream and Nightmare. There will be 10 Funkeys: Ptep, Drift, Tank, Vlurp, Sprocket, Lucky, Berger, Snipe, Dyer, and Wags.

Prior to this news back in Feb., we expected to see Dot and Bandit come out next with Drift and Sprocket. That is because they were listed on the UB Funkey hub packaging and also in the Terrapinia library. But now we know that is not the case, and I haven't heard anything new on Dot & Bandit.

I'll be watching Augiewan's blog for more new information on Dream State, as you may want to as well. But I'll keep you posted as well when he has the lastest news to share.

CHAT FUNKEYS

We can also look forward to the future addition of Chat Funkeys to spark a new interest in the UB Funkey game. I haven't heard any details about these yet except that players will be able to "communicate with each other safely in the game" , and that the names are: Rom, Holler, Gabby, and Rewind. Thanks to Augiewan and his blog again for those names. You can also see a larger image of these with their names at ubfunkeys.thespeakeasy.com

UB Funkeys on Squidoo

One of the fun parts of writing this blog is meeting (in an on-line sort of way) lots of nice people. Some of them I've corresponded with through email after they've contacted me with a question (Here's a shout-out to Clubpenquin in California, Paula & Winston in Hawaii, Amanda in Australia, and Kevin & Marsha. There is one nice grandmother and her 2 granddaughters in Ohio that we've continued to exchange email after I sold some Funkeys to her over Ebay (Hi Sue, sorry I've been bad at replying lately. I've also been bad at posting on the blog!).

There are others that I feel like I know after posting on the Funkey Fan Forum (Hi Luli, Wisteriatayu, Wench05, Timmster, funkeynut, funkeymom, and now KT. There are more, but those were the more active ones who were there when it started). And there are the other bloggers, writers, and webmasters who have websites on the UB Funkeys (Hi Augiewan from Speakeasy, Karl of KIWIreviews.com, and Tamara from Funkeyfever.com)

Here's another website about UB Funkeys that I want to share. Rockycha (Carrie) writes about UB Funkeys on Squidoo.com & I like her writing and the way she presented all about the UB Funkeys on her Lens. Check it out at UB Funkeys at Squidoo.com.

She also has a Lens about Speed Racer Movie Toys & Games that is worth checking out.

UB Funkey Passwords ~ write them down!

I received an email this morning from someone whose passwords were no longer filled in automatically. They no longer had the "save password" checked off for a couple of their log in names, and they don't know how that happened. Unfortunately they don't remember their passwords, and didn't fill in the security question when they created their names.

Has anyone else had this problem?

When we login, our passwords have always been saved (checked), so we rely on that. But I have wondered what might happen if it didn't save one day. We have so many log in names that we don't remember all of them. I'm not sure how the security question would work in that case.

So, everyone, you might want to write down your passwords so you don't forget!
{If you do forget your password, you can contact Mattel's customer relations line, the number is in the back of the instruction manual. They can tell you.}

So just wondering if anyone has experience with this, and if there is another way to gain access to recover from that problem.

Speed Racer UB Funkey game ~ Grand Prix

GO, SPEED RACER, GO!!

Speed Racer's game is called the Grand Prix. In this game, you are driving the Mach 6 using your arrow keys to control the car. You might want to slow down when you're taking the turns or you'll wipe out! If you feel like you're getting too far behind the other cars, don't fret, you should see them again at the end of the last lap.

One cool feature of the car you're driving is that it can jump over other cars by pressing the space bar. You only have a limited number of jumps, so be sure to save some for the end.

Game location: Racer Motors in Royalton Racing Complex.

High Scores:
1,020 was a score that won a trophy for Luli.
1,142 won the trophy, car, and a race flag for Funkey Dad & Kristian.
2,115 is the highest score reported, earned by KT.

These scores were posted on the Funkey Fan Forum. Thanks for sharing your scores!

UB Funkey Bio:
(copied from the driver files in the Royalton Labs)

As a member of the Racer Family, Speed has been raised to drive from a very young age. It's been said the Speed was tooling timing pins while still in Funkey diapers!

Speed Racer is truly a gifted driver, who grew up watching his legendary older brother, Rex Racer, set records in all of the major racing events throughout Terrapinnia. Speed was taught by his brother to "listen to what the car wants" rather then simply drive.

Choosing to stay un-sponsored and never driving without wearing his lucky red socks Speed has vowed to carry on his brother's mission, to challenge the corruption rampant througout the FRL, and restore the purity to the sport!

Although a relative new professional driver in the Funkeys Racing League, Speed is carrying on his family legacy and quickly becoming the crowd favorite.

As the Mach 6 engine roars around the track and equally deafening roar of "GO, Speed, GO!!" can be heard from his cheering Funkey Fans!
