UB Funkeys Dream State Very Rare Collector's Pack

Wow! This is news to me! FunkeyFever.com has the UB Funkey Dream State Collector's Pack for sale.

This is what they wrote: "Collectors Pack! 4 Very Rare Dream States in 1 box, Only 12,000 released, each comes with numbered Seal and 1 Special Edition Metallic Print Collector Card. Cards Available are Vlurp, Ptep,Waggs, Drift. (# specific)"

We hit the UB Funkey jackpot! Dyer, Snipe, Sprocket, and Tank!

It was a successful UB Funkey hunt today and we added these guys to our collection today. Now we are only missing Berger.

We scored a very rare Dyer, rare Snipe, normal Sprocket, and a very rare Tank.



I've included pictures of all the Dream State Funkeys (one of each tribe except Berger)

These are our Funkeys that go to Daydream Oasis:
normal Lucky, very rare Dyer, and very rare Tank. (Berger is missing)

Our Nightmare Portal Funkeys:

normal Vlurp, normal Ptep, rare Snipe, and normal Sprocket.

Our Chat Funkeys: Gabby, Holler, Rewind, and Rom

Our Dream State Funkeys......Found!

Our collection is now as complete as it's going to be for a while. We have at least one of each character except Dot. We held out for Walmart prices to complete the Dream State Funkeys that we were missing, and a couple days ago it felt like we hit the jackpot! I wish I had my camera with me at the store, it was amazing! I've never seen anything like it! At least 3 full pegs of Dream State Funkeys at Walmart in Sterling, Va (if you live around No.Va., then you can probably still pick up some). There was at least one of every Dream State that is out, plus a few rare & very rare ones.

Hints of things to come in Daydream Oasis

We're getting hints of new things to come in the UB Funkey game. If you have a Chat Funkey already, you've most likely already stumbled upon this. There are phrases already set up for the future additions to the game.

Multi-player games

We realize it isn't news that there will be multi-player games, but this was good to see (in the picture) that we now have a clue to which ones they will be; Lucky, Snipe, Sprocket, and Dyer.

Our New Funkeys ~ Rewind, Vlurp, Waggs, and Ptep

Last week we finally found Waggs, Vlurp, and Ptep at Toys R Us. We've been so busy playing that I haven't updated the blog about them! Today we found the Chat Funkeys at Toys R Us. But no sign of Drift around these parts!

I'll do another post about Chat Funkeys because there are many interesting features, it deserves it's very own post!

Mellafunk made a great find today when she found all of the Chat Funkeys at a Walmart in San Antonio, Texas for $10.22. She also picked up a Rare Drift! The Toys R Us near her had them, but they were having major pricing problems. Watch out for Toys R Us, they have had various pricing problems on many of the Dream State Funkeys all over the country as Joseph from the Bronx first warned us, and I have experienced it as well.

Mellafunk's find at Walmart was much better than $14.99 that I paid today for Chat Funkeys at Toys R US in Sterling, Va.

"UNC" kindly reported that he found Vlurp, Ptep, Waggs and Drift at a TRU in Memphis, TN. last week. And now he has a complete Funkey collection after his recent find of all four Chat Funkeys at a Target halfway between Memphis and SouthHaven Miss.

Jeremy in Mass. also had good luck yesterday when he found all four Chat Funkeys at TRU

It's odd, so far we're finding all four when we find any. It's as if the store just unloaded a box and the first person who gets there buys the complete set. So you're either lucky or not!

Dream State single UB Funkeys at Toys R Us

I received an email today from Joseph G. who was kind enough to share the news that he found some Dream State single Funkeys at Toys R Us. We're still not sure whether there are just a few individual stores that have put the Dream State and Chat Funkeys out in error. The latest word from Mattel is still August 1st. But I think I'll still check in on my local TRU, Walmart, and Targets!

There is one bit of advice Joseph had to share with anyone who finds a single common Ptep Funkey at Toys R Us ~ watch out that it rings up correctly. The single Ptep that he bought rang up as $16.99 which would be the price for a double pack. It appears the sku isn't coded correctly, so watch out for that so the store can correct it if it happens to you too. The sku (or UPC) for normal Ptep is 027084658651. You can also use that number if you call TRU first and ask them to look it up on their computer to see if it's in stock before you drive over there.

I added the widgets on the blog's sidebar showing Waggs and Vlurp. I'm not recommending that anyone pay those prices, but it is fun to look at them!

I checked out Ebay after I got the comment below, and there is a Ptep and Drift listed. So that confirms that Drift is coming out as a single. Hurray! The patience will pay off for those who didn't give in to the temptation of buying the starter hub just for Drift (but I'm not saying I blame you if you did buy it!! I completely understand!)

OH! One observation I need to share is that both the Ebay seller and Joseph are in New York. So right now it appears New York has an edge on this!

UB Funkeys DREAM STATE and more

If you're like me, you have one of each Funkey that is available to date, you've played all the games, know the layout of the zones without looking at the map anymore. And now you are ready for the next wave of Funkeys!

This is what we can look forward to ~ Dream State, Chat Funkeys, and 2 more Speed Racer Funkeys (Speed Racer single & Taejo).

WHEN? I'm sure you're asking that! This summer is the answer. The most specific I've heard yet is August, as Rochycha reports on Squidoo (see previous post).

DREAM STATE

My favorite place to find Funkey information on Dream State is Augiewan's blog, http://ubfunkeys.thespeakeasy.com/. Click here to see a larger image with the character names from Augiewan's blog.

There will be 2 zones, Daydream and Nightmare. There will be 10 Funkeys: Ptep, Drift, Tank, Vlurp, Sprocket, Lucky, Berger, Snipe, Dyer, and Wags.

Prior to this news back in Feb., we expected to see Dot and Bandit come out next with Drift and Sprocket. That is because they were listed on the UB Funkey hub packaging and also in the Terrapinia library. But now we know that is not the case, and I haven't heard anything new on Dot & Bandit.

I'll be watching Augiewan's blog for more new information on Dream State, as you may want to as well. But I'll keep you posted as well when he has the lastest news to share.


CHAT FUNKEYS

We can also look forward to the future addition of Chat Funkeys to spark a new interest in the UB Funkey game. I haven't heard any details about these yet except that players will be able to "communicate with each other safely in the game" , and that the names are: Rom, Holler, Gabby, and Rewind.
