UB Funkey Crib Contest @ FunkeyFever.com

Funkeyfever.com is having a "Crib of the Month Award" contest for the Funkeyest crib each month. Submit your crib by filling out the form on FunkeyFever.com.

Voting begins July 1st. And beginning August 1, the first place winner will be awarded a Funkey character. Please see their website for details.

This is my crib, but not one that I would submit for the contest. It looks rather empty, doesn't it? Well, there are couple of explanations for that. One is that a 6 year old decorated it for me. Not bad, for 6, eh? Looks tasteful, but everything is bunched in the corner. It's the minimalist look!
The other reason for the emptiness is that I lost my crib again. It must have happened after I tried to set a unique funkey name after the 3.0 update. Only this time I was able to restore it because I had a back up copy of an older 'profile.rdf' file. I still lost a few items that we had bought since my last file back-up, such as a couple of chim-chim's treehouses, a bunch of race cars, and a whole litter of cats. I can earn those back, it's much better than loosing it all!

Vroominator ~ I really need to post some instructions for backing up files, I've been meaning to and I keep getting sidetracked. Well, if you haven't let the updates come through yet, it can wait just a little while longer until you back them up.
You might want to call the Mattel line first, they might walk you through it since they are techie-type people.
Or please email me to remind me if I don't post those instructions soon. ubfunkeysarefun@gmail.com

if someone could post backup instructions - that would be awesome! I have had to re-install the funkey software everytime there is an update. My 5 yr old is very upset by this because he loses everything in his crib! Very stressful! I made a copy of his data directory - thinking that would do it, but when I copied it back after the third re-install - the program froze! Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I have been meaning to post some back up instructions, but I keep forgetting. In the meanwhile, you might want to go to the forums at UBFunkeys.com, the official website, and do a search. I saw someone posted instructions over there.
Not sure this would make a difference with the program freezing, but I only needed the one little file, 'profile.rdf', to replace & restore my crib.
Thanks for the comment & I'll try to remember to post some back-up instructions.

The monkeys come from Funkiki Island. You get them when you get an "insane high score" in the games.
